Curriculum for early adolescents is a 14-session group intervention designed to address the specific issues faced by seventh- and eighth-grade students as they adjust to the inevitable changes and challenges associated with parental divorce.
The curriculum fosters a supportive group environment in which feelings and experiences can be shared in a safe confidential setting. Participants learn important skills, including social problem solving, constructive ways of dealing with anger, and communication skills. Group activities focus on the developmental needs and interests of early adolescents.
