Rochester Early Childhood Assessment Partnership (RECAP)
RECAP is a collaboration of community organizations that gathers and analyzes data on early childhood programs to promote informed decisions that improve programs, practices and outcomes.
Goals
- Provide useful data analysis on the status of early childhood programs
- Enrich the learning experience for children
- Improve early childhood environments and school performance

How It Works
- Teachers and parents complete evaluation measures on preschool children
- Independent observers are trained to complete evaluations on classroom programs
- Data is analyzed and distributed to participants and policymakers
- Partner support and development/training on evaluation measure interpretation are provided
