Consider Donating B & L Stock
Bausch and Lomb has proposed merging the company with affiliates of Warburg Pincus pending a vote at a special shareholders' meeting on September 21. A gift of stock to Children's Institute before the shareholder meeting may allow stockholders to avoid or defer capital gains taxes and also receive a charitable deduction for the fair market value of their shares.
