After-School Quality
High quality after-school programs contribute to children’s overall social and emotional development as well as to their achievement in school.
Children’s Institute is the evaluating partner for the Greater Rochester After-School Alliance (GRASA), a collaboration dedicated to improving the quality of after-school programs. After-school program staff and directors tell us that they benefit from the assessments and feedback.
Children’s Institute manages the Extended School Day/School Violence Prevention program, supporting school and community agency collaborations that focus on after-school programming that promotes academic enrichment and development of social skills, lessening violence in Rochester high schools and in the community.
