Birth Outcomes
A large body of research exists linking favorable birth outcomes to positive social and emotional development as well as to optimal physical and cognitive development.
For over fifteen years, Children’s Institute has helped collaborating agencies ensure that pregnant women and new parents have the resources available to them to ensure the healthy development of their children. Funded by United Way of Greater Rochester and managed by Children’s Institute, the Rochester Early Enhancement Project (REEP) delivers comprehensive, integrated and intensive educational programs and services to families. The REEP collaborative has become a model of how agencies can work together to offer seamless transitions among services to benefit families.
