Welcome to the Primary Project blog
What is a blog you ask? Well, according to Wikipedia (not always the most reliable source but seems appropriate for us), a “blog is a type of website usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of events, or other material such as graphics or video.” While many blogs are of a personal nature, much like an online journal, others provide commentary or news, and some even share culinary tips. So why one for Primary Project, you ask?
For quite some time, folks have asked for a venue for sharing ideas and thoughts about Primary Project. What better way to connect the over 2000 schools around the country that implement Primary Project. Here is the plan as it stands today.
We at Children’s Institute are committed to making a minimum of three entries per month during the year. Sometimes we will muse, other times pose questions. Still other times, send reminders, post pictures, share stories. We travel around the world and meet folks who have been touched one way or another by Primary Project. And we want to share with you all of the wonderful things happening!
You are invited to share your thoughts in response, remembering that the intent is to support and learn from one another. If you have a question or topic, please feel free to email me djohnson [at] childrensinstitute [dot] net. Remember, Primary Project is "Deliberately Different" (thanks D. Reinstein) … let’s have a great year and learn together!
