Project LAUNCH, Parent-led Young Child Wellness Council Family Event
A special thank you to everyone who supported our first Project LAUNCH, Parent-led Young Child Wellness Council Family Event, recently held at the Frederick Douglass Family Initiatives Center on East Main Street, Rochester. We are truly grateful to both Cherriese Bufis and Devon Reynolds, our YCWC Parent Co-Chairs, for their vision and leadership. Also, we all extend gratitude to Ms. Jocelyn Basley of C3 Consultancy Services for her skillful facilitation and logistical support. And, a shout-out to the Healthi Kids team, Dina Faticone and Erick Stephens, for their involvement, enthusiasm, and support (communication and lunch)!
The YCWC Parent committee will report back soon, but at last count, we had 18 families who visited more than 18 resource tables. Colleagues that supported those tables include those from RCSD PreK, Foodlink, Baby Safe Sleep Coalition, HealthiKids Coalition, The Crisis Nursery, The Norman Howard School, Encompass, Fidelis, Rochester Regional Health, Mt. Hope Family Center, Roc the Future's PECAN, AmeriCorps, and Whole Child Connection, Get Ready to GROW, RAPP from Children's Institute, and so many more.
Finally, thank you to our Children's Institute and ROC the Future colleagues who visited, volunteered, and participated in the event itself including Ann Marie, Lynn, Sarah, Lauri, Elizabeth, Genemarie, Dawn, Jackie, Arlene, Linda, Willie, Maurice, and Diane.
