Media Guidelines

Children’s Institute Publicity and Media Guidelines

1. Working Together on Communications
To promote consistent information about all Children’s Institute programing, we ask that our valued partners coordinate with Lauri Strano (lstrano@childrensinstitute.net) before sharing anything publicly about the program. This includes website announcements, flyers, social media posts, news articles, or event promotions.

2. Approval of Materials
If you would like to highlight your involvement with any Children’s Institute programming, we are happy to collaborate. Please send us any materials that mention a specific program and/or Children’s Institute for our review so we can ensure alignment with our shared messaging. We will respond to you promptly with any necessary changes regarding the description of our program or service.

3. Media Inquiries
If media outlets contact you about Children's Institute program activities, please include us so we can help support the conversation. Children’s Institute has a communications team that can assist with messaging or directly respond if needed.

4. Photos, Videos, and Stories
We love celebrating the great work happening in our community! If you capture photos, videos, or stories during Children's Institute program-related events, please make sure the appropriate permissions are in place before sharing. We can help provide guidance on consent forms and privacy considerations.

5. Using Shared Materials
We can provide Children’s Institute photos, graphics, or sample language to help promote individual programs. You are welcome to use these materials for agreed-upon purposes. All materials remain the property of Children’s Institute and are meant to facilitate our shared outreach efforts.

6. Updates or Changes
If our materials need to be revised or removed from your system, we will work with you to make those updates. For example, website information or updated documents.
