Staffing Updates

21 Oct 2021

Children’s Institute is celebrating the following notable staffing updates:

  • Erinn Duprey, Ph.D. (pronounced “Du-Pray”), has started as Children's Institute’s Research Scientist. She is a developmental scientist who received her Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Science from the University of Georgia, and her Masters in Counseling Psychology from Teachers College at Columbia University. Erinn recently completed a T32 postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Psychiatry at URMC, where she studied childhood maltreatment and youth suicide prevention. She is also affiliated with the Mt. Hope Family Center at the University of Rochester. Dr. Duprey’s broad research interests include childhood adversity, youth mental health, developmental psychopathology, and the development of community-engaged preventive interventions to promote youth mental health.

  • Jackie Robbins and Teresa Medero have joined the Get Ready to GROW team at Children's Institute as Navigators. Jackie comes to us with wonderful experience as a coordinator for Healthy Steps, providing direct work with families/children and supporting next steps if a need was determined – a perfect fit for Get Ready to GROW. Teresa comes to us with incredible experience as a Home Care Manager. We are excited to have her help us grow in our current area and expanding counties. These additions also add capabilities for the team to provide bilingual support in our community.

  • While Americorps member contracts ended at summer’s end, new beginnings also arose this fall around this transition! Zahra Maqsoodi is continuing to support Get Ready to GROW, part-time. James Ross is continuing to support the work of Whole Child Connection and is also helping with contract management. Kenneth Dawson’s new beginning is one we all aspire to…retirement! We are grateful for their contributions to Children's Institute.
